Received a call from a rep of this company this morning. He called himself the "tool man". He was a huge tool and he had the semblance of a man. When I asked his reason for the call he asks if he is calling at a bad time. I informed him he was, (I was watching Braveheart for the 14th time). He snaps and starts berating me with all sorts of profanity in my ear. Turns out he is a world class telephone tough guy. When I asked what company he represents he angrily yells "CALIFORNIA CONTRACTORS". The number he called from was on a spam list. God please help these people.

I've blocked i don't know how many numbers from this guy and if you tell him no he just keeps calling and i depending on my phone 365 days a year. Can't turn it off.

I mean Christmas or whenever he decides to call me i can't get any rest unless I buy something. I owe them money right now and i told them to send me a email guarantee me that I won't never get another call from them and all i got was they would notify them and i send one back saying that wasn't good enough. I needed something like if i got another call i could say yes to everything and not owe them a dime.and guess what I haven't heard back for several days.

So they can foget.it I'm not sending them a penny.

I ordered two first aid kits and at the same time to honor their warranty that the sales rep said came with previous oreder. The rep said two things that we had 90 days to pat and when they call to confrirm order that the person calling would take care of warrenty. The person that called said that she could not do that ,so I canceled order. The next time I heard from them was saying money eas due , ( 60) days out. Two things the product never came, second told them tring to see if they were going to lie again and told them what the sales rep said we had 90 days but she got boligerant and said we don't do that. She ask me am I going to pay so I told her maybe, maybe not,I dont know ,I don't care. Giving them a taste of their own medicine. Now they are telling me I owe them for products that I don't have. Their legal department keeps calling now. This is mail fraud at its finest

The 1st and only time i ordered from them, i was told i wouldn't be charged shipping. Low and behold i was charged shipping cost. Since then I've blocked their number, several times! He said he calls from Tucson Arizona but each different number comes up as a Montana area code. I mentioned this to him that i believe this is a deceptive practice and do not call me any more. That pissed him off enough to say "You're so *** ***". I then proceeded to yell some *** words back at him and hung up. This company can *** right off!

These people call non stop. If you tell them you are not interested they cuss you out and hang up on you. How do these people stay in buisness. I have repeatedly told them to stop calling yet they call every week. Not only that there stuff is way over priced. This has to be the worst company with the worst sales people I have ever talked to.

Total rip off. They lied and commited fraud

Salesrep said owner, me, ok'd $500 worth of gloves to be ordered. He knew my name somehow and AP processed order. I never authorized this and I have sent this to the AG's office as well as BBB and my attorney. I've also reported this to my cc company as fraud. I called to get more information and was hung up on at first. I called back and was told that a 'manager' would call me back. Stilllll waiting. This is a boiler room and a scam outfit. Runnnnnnn as quick as you can and cancel your credit card if you gave them one. Horrible people.

THE WORST COMPANY!!! They call 24/7. Today they called my company and wanted to send me gloves. I told them I needed to check my stockroom to see if I needed any and to call back. The sales person said you are a liar you lie to me all the time. He said I am trying to make a living. I told him don't you ever call me a liar and NEVER call my company again and I hung up. 5 minutes later he called back just to tell me I am a *** lying B__TCH. And he hoped I had to pay 3 times more for supplies than his prices. I told him he BETTER NEVER CALL MY COMPANY AGAIN!!!! In all my 56 years I have never had a company sales person CUSS ME. ARE YOU CUSSING ME. WHERE IS THE CEO OF THIS COMPANY. WHY IS HE/SHE NOT READING THESE COMMENTS. I AM CONTACTING THE BBB TOMORROW. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR BUSINESS YESTERDAY. Review about Threatening Calls

I have a salesman calling me from Beaumont with a 409 area code. I blocked his number because he cusses me. I need that number the law enforcement said they will go to their business because they have threaten me. Does anybody have a 409 number for California Contractors. Please comment.

Invoice price did not match quote. Conditions of purchase did not match verbal agreement. Invoice was not ncluded in shipment and did not arrive in time for stated discount. Caviat Emptor. This does not appear to be an honest marketing endevor. A call placed to customer service complaining od non compliance with verbal assurances of conditiopns was dismissed due to a claim of inability to contact me. Confirmation was a condition of the sale. I believe this company has little concern for ethical sales and service to contractors. They will get the over priced return shortly and I may eat the return charge but they will eat the Fed Ex charge and any commission they paid for high pressure sales anf false claims.

Unprofessional harassing sales calls!

AWFUL! UNPROFESSIONAL. THREATENING. HARRASSMENT. Please see my official complaint with the Better Business Bureau. "I issued an internal complaint with Contractor Supply yesterday, November 2nd, about a sales representative, Jennifer. Jennifer calls my office on a daily basis and is automatically forwarded to voicemail since her persistent calls have disrupted my co worker. Once put into voicemail she hangs up and immediately calls my associate on his cell phone (previously given to her by another secretary when my associate was unavailable). She leaves voicemails infrequently but they are all sales related. When I called on November 2nd, I spoke to a "customer service manager", per my request, and issued a formal complaint against Contractor Supply. Today, again, we were contacted by Jennifer. I immediately called the management office to add this call to our complaint and the woman who took my call (another customer service manager) told me another complaint wouldn't do any good and I shouldn't call again then hung up the phone. I then called Jennifer back, on behalf of my associate, and she was extremely causal on the phone stating that "Hunny, I didn't call you. I called him and I only call him once a month. He's my customer". I explained our position, including the daily phone calls, she abruptly hung up the phone. This company shows no sign of professionalism and has absolutely lost our business. I had requested for our company to be eliminated from their phone system. It would be appreciated if they would take action against such unprofessional tactics and aggressive calling." After a week of complaints, this company still insists on calling us. TERRIBLE company.

As a former employer of California contractors supplies, I'm not a big fan, but I am decent and honest, so let me say you have the wrong company here. California contractors supplies offices do not hire women sales people, period.

I always thought that was db anyway, but it's a fact.

So while they have their problems, this is a case of mistaken identity. Sorry you had a bad tool experience, but I can't let them take the rap for this

Have you submitted a written notice to be taken off the calling list? I have teh same problem and today I talked to them and they said I need to fax them a written request. So I did...about 50+ times. And I'll continue to do so until I stop getting calls.

Sales calls and harassment

I have NEVER been talked to in such a fowl and disrespectful way in my life. Not only did they cuss me out and threatened to come to my house and kick my f ing ***** ******* *** but then they continued to call every 5 min to tie up my line. They also called in the middle of the night several times in a row just to harass us. When I called a "Customer Service Manager" to complaine she was just as rude to me as the sales caller. Then to top it off they sent me supplies that we did NOT order and charged us for it. Stay away from this company.

I received a telephone call California Contractors Suplies. Firstly, I though the salesman was very unproffessional with his language.

While he was indeed friendly, he swore alot. I work for a buiness and I will tell you when I make telephone calls to customers, I don't use foul language at all. That's just something a professional doesn't do. Secondly, the salesman misled me into believing that he was going to send me a free sample that I might be interested in.

I didn't even want the samples but he insisted on sending them anyways and said they were risk free so I agreed to give him my mailing address. Then shortly after I received the "samples" I received an invoice for $138.00! Of course, I am not going to pay the invoice because I never agreed to purchase anything. I have received four letters now threatening me with legal fees and several telephone calls from their collections department.

Thirdly, the products are way overpriced and no one in their right mind would have agreed to such an order. I have been ordering the same product from amazon.com for years for a fraction of the price. I did not even want the products but the guy insisted on sending them and would not let it go till I agreed to receivge his "risk free" samples.

What a liar. If I receive one more dumb letter threatening me with legal fees and saying "Legal fees may prove to be very expensive", they will soon discover just how expensive legal fees really can be.

Actually CCS can not call in the middle of the night being as our office hours coincide with all time zones. So blatantly you just lied.

I won't stick up for all the salesmen and women for this company. I myself don't like to push or harass customers into purchasing something they don't wish to purchase. As it stands ALL accounts are on a 30 day NO RISK TO THEM p eriod to try out the products IF they are unhappy with what they receive, all freight, shipping and taxes are paid both ways BY. CCS..

No out of pocket expense is necessary.

I have hundreds of satisfied customers all over the US, ranging from a 3 man work crew to over 2,000 workers.

As for a Do Not Call list, I am sorry to say there isn't such a thing for businesses. IF you are listed in a telephone book, you can be called legally.

I've worked for this company before and THIS^ is what they truly believe. He has zero satisfied customers, just people he routinely fall prey to his harassment. This post is 4 years old, I assure you he probably doesnt even work there anymore.
